Owl

Owl

**Sweatshirts are 6" larger in chest size than the t-shirts**

A great horned owl glides towards the viewer on this wildlife t-shirt. Great horned owls are powerful hunters, preying on anything their large size allows them to; there are even reports of large great horned owls preying on bobcats. They are the only regular predators of skunks, as they have little sense of smell, and will often smell strongly of skunk themselves.

Great horned owls also routinely prey on other birds and the young of other raptors. Raptor nests tend to be very large, and thus obvious, and owls will revisit nests until they have killed all nestlings. This is advantageous because the prey of great horned owls almost always overlaps with other raptors in their range, so killing hawks and other owls both feeds the great horned owl and reduces competition.

This shirt shows one's appreciation of these "winged tigers." Beneath the owl is a line of poetry from Jim: "Sense the diversity and richness, the beauty and fragility, all harmoniously intertwined."
